All group visits must be booked in advance. Please provide us with at least two weeks’ notice of your visit and complete and submit the contact form below providing us with full details. Alternatively, you can download the booking form at the bottom of this page and return to email@example.com.
We confirm all bookings in writing. Do check your booking confirmation form to ensure details are correct. Please contact us if you do not receive written confirmation within two weeks of making your booking or if you have any queries.
We can currently accommodate up to three classes per day in the museum doing a maximum of two workshops each. This is subject to staff availability.
Outreach visits can deliver up to four workshops per day. This can be on more than one theme.
Adult to student ratio
It is advised that the following ratio of adults to students is adhered to:
- 1:5 for children aged seven years and under
- 1:6 for children aged eight years and above
- 1:10 for secondary school students
- 1:15 for ages 16 and above
We recommend these ratios to ensure all children are safe and have full access to the activities on offer. Some workshops require children to be in smaller groups to complete tasks, and having an adult with each ensures maximum participation opportunities for all children. Bring as many adult helpers as possible and share your preparation with them so they can help your pupils better.
