Schools Cultural Arts Conversation

Maidstone Museum’s Learning Team are working in partnership with Artswork, the Bridge Organisation for the South East for Arts Council England, and Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill to develop resources and good practice with schools in the Maidstone and Tonbridge areas.

The aim of the forum is to connect with local schools and to support them in improving cultural capital requirements, prepare for Ofsted Deep Dives in the arts subjects, to capture needs and provide training opportunities for teachers. We will also support schools applying for their ArtsMark and share other opportunities for connecting with culture.

This page is to share resources and information, and relevant the links to book onto upcoming sessions.

To be added to the mailing list for future sessions please email museumeducation@maidstone.gov.uk

Thank you to those who attended previous sessions.

The next session will be; Wednesday 23rd February 2022

 The theme is  Sharing your own school’s achievements in art from the past few years

We’d like  each participant to share their schools art achievements – can be by taking us virtually into art space, showing us what children have achieved, sharing how you’ve planned art across the school, how an ofsted art deep dive went, or anything you are proud of related to art in your school. (these are just a few ideas – the choices are almost endless!) Without participants contributions it could be a short meeting!

Other things we’d like you to think about;

What’s next for this group?

What ongoing support would you like?

How frequently is best to continue virtual or physical meet ups?
