WE ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.
WE WILL UPDATE THIS PAGE WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO TAKE WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE
Below is the normal information re work experience placements and is for reference only. Placements are currently on hold until further notice.
We are able to offer one week of work experience to students who fit our criteria. We can accommodate 2 students per week, studying GCSE or ‘A’ level, usually from different schools.
Our work experience placement is shared between the departments within the museum, but overseen by the Learning and Events Officer. Students will spend time with some or all of the Learning, Interpretation, Collections and Front of House teams. Within each department you will have the opportunity to do a little of what we do on a day to day basis.
Times for placements are 10am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday of the week allocated.
To help us decide whether we are able to offer you a placement, please supply the following information:
1. Your school, year group and dates for work experience (we are able to offer one week per student)
2. Your CV (if available) or the subjects you’re studying and at what level, e.g. GCSE/A level
3. A little about yourself, your interests and why you’d like to do your work experience at the museum
Once we have received this we can then review the information and decide if a placement here is suitable. Please send your application to firstname.lastname@example.org.
