Inspire learning with your class through awe and wonder with a range of interactive workshops at Maidstone Museum in Kent.
With the opportunity for students to get hands on with artefacts and specimens, the prospect of encouraging enquiry, discussion, and interaction will doubtless prove inspiring and beneficial to their educational needs. We offer a range of one-hour workshops linked to areas of the National Curriculum including history, science, literacy, and art. Selected craft sessions are also available to complement the main workshops.
In addition to these hands-on workshops, Maidstone Museum also offers a selection of photo and themed trails for your visit. These can be emailed to you in advance of your visit, or a class set can be ready for when you visit. Please note that these trails must be booked in advance.
We also have some great videos on recent research carried out on the Museum’s mummy, which will give you a taste of the learning opportunities we can offer. Discover more…The Mummy
Limited workshop sessions are available each week so we recommend booking as far in advance as possible. You can visit the museum or arrange an outreach visit for more information and to discuss your school visit requirements.
