Talks

Everyday Policing in 1960s Maidstone

Join us for a reflective talk with a former Maidstone police officer as he shares his experiences of working in the town during the 1960s and 70s. Offering a grounded, day‑to‑day perspective on local policing, he will discuss routine duties, the kinds of incidents officers commonly dealt with, and how the role adapted to gradual changes within the community and the police service. This informal session provides an honest look at what working life was like for a constable in Maidstone during this period.
