Explore 600,000 years of Kent’s archaeological history.

Join the Kent Archaeological Society’s Curator for a guided tour of the Lives in Our Landscape Gallery at Maidstone Museum. Exploring objects, landscapes and stories from across Kent, the tour will uncover how people have lived, worked and shaped the county, covering 600,000 years of Kent’s history. Drawing on highlights from the Kent Archaeological Society collections, visitors will gain a deeper insight into the archaeology and heritage of Kent through the gallery’s remarkable finds and displays. Suitable for anyone with an interest in local history, archaeology and the stories behind the objects on display.

When: Friday 11th September 2026

Timings: 7 to 8:30pm

Price: £15 per person

Age: All welcome

Places: Limited to 20 places

Accessibility: The room and our toilets are fully accessible
