The Godiva Courtyard is an enclosed outdoor space that works alongside the museum’s interior rooms, particularly Godiva Hall. It provides a natural setting for more informal.
Enclosed by the Museum’s historic buildings, the courtyard offers a secluded setting in the centre of Maidstone.
Evening light, historic brickwork and open air make it a natural extension for warm-weather receptions and celebrations.
Moving easily between Godiva hall and courtyard allows receptions to flow naturally between indoors and out.
The courtyard is ideal for welcome drinks, summer receptions and informal gatherings, usually alongside events taking place in Godiva Hall.
The courtyard is a flexible standing space and is most effective when used as an extension of indoor events. Capacity in the courtyard is up to 35.
The courtyard can be used throughout the year, although it is naturally most popular during spring and summer and has no overhead shelter.
Yes. The courtyard opens directly onto Godiva Hall, allowing events to flow naturally between indoor and outdoor spaces.
