Victorian library. Calm and contained
Created in 1890, Maidstone Museum’s Bentlif Library is lined with mahogany bookcases and historic paintings. The room is enclosed and acoustically contained, making it particularly suitable for events that depend on listening and discussion.
Mahogany bookcases, leaded windows and carved architectural details gives the room its richness.
The enclosed setting creates a calm, attentive atmosphere for discussion, presentations and spoken-word events.
Books, paintings, sculpture and historic objects surround guests with layers of Maidstone’s cultural history.
The Bentlif Library is particularly suited to meetings, training sessions, talks and small conferences. Its enclosed layout and excellent acoustics make it ideal for events centred on listening, discussion and presentation.
The room can be arranged in theatre, boardroom or horseshoe layouts, with capacity for up to 40 guests depending on the format.
