SEND Family Fridays
We have created SEND friendly craft activities for families with children with SEND and their siblings. This time they are story book themed with guided and open ended craft opportunities. These sessions will have fewer spaces than our usual sessions and aim to be quieter with more open ended activities. There is a small charge for each child to cover costs but adults are free.
The session will include a story followed by a related craft
Please contact the Museum Events Team with any issues.
Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the museum.
1 session – 1.30pm – 2.30pm

Suitable for families with SEND children including siblings.
£3.75 per child per session. Adults are free. An adult must stay with child/ren.
Location; The SEND sessions will be in our studio (classroom) which is on the ground floor round the corner from the main reception. For these sessions we will be removing some of the table to allow for more space for wheelchairs etc. There are only 10 child spaces for each session to give more space and a calmer atmosphere for those involved.
SEND family crafts are accessible for children and young people aged 4+. Each session is creature themed with a choice of open ended activity or following a set of instructions with a final outcome. A mixture of materials is available for each session.
There will also be themed trails around the museum with a special badge as a prize. (£2 per child includes a pen – pay at the reception desk).
