Title: Fuji through a Torii Gate

Series: 100 Views of Mount Fuji

Date: Meiji Period, c.1900

On a windy day, indicated by strings attached to the torii gate and the movement of the young boy’s hair, a boy and man are on their way to fly kites. You can see that the young boy is clutching a kite in his hand and pointing out in front, perhaps indicating a good spot to fly it.
