The Ronin, having taken Moronao by surprise, capture him and take him out barefoot into the snow. Oboshi offers Moronao Lord Enya’s sword and he is invited to have an honourable death by committing seppuku (ritual suicide) with it. Moronao refuses and is decapitated.
