Make Your Own Myriorama Cards – Teenage Summer Programme
Fri 14th Aug 2026 -
11:00 - 16:00
Activity/Craft, Teenage Summer Programme
Explore storytelling through art by creating your own set of myriorama cards—illustrated scenes that can be arranged in endless combinations.
Join local artist Sam Lou as she guides you through this workshop on how to create your own Myriorama Cards inspired by the Museums very own collection. Myriorama Cards were first popularised in early Victorian Britain (around the 1820s–1830s). The name comes from the Greek, ‘myrios’ means many, and ‘orama’ means view. They were used to capture a scene or to tell a story. All materials provided for and no artistic skills needed.
