Folk Customs Now! – all free

Post Workers Theatre perform autohoodening, a consciousness-raising custom for the age of A.I. capitalism, updating an ancient midwinter ritual to engage with the horrors of the contemporary workplace.

Mark Norman is a writer (Black Dog Folklore, Dark Folklore) and broadcaster (Folklore Podcast). He will be talking about West Country Obby Oss customs and his Black Dog Oss.

Ben Edge, celebrated artist of the Frontline Folklore paintings and film, will be discussing his work.

The Autohoodening film is an epic folk opera, based on Amazon workers testimonies and interviews with union organisers, written and produced collectively by Post Workers Theatre and Infinite Opera. Captain Swing returns from past worker uprisings in a consciousness-raising custom for the age of A.I. capitalism.
