Representatives from Maidstone Museum came away from the recent Celebrate Maidstone awards ceremony at the Kent Event Centre as proud recipients of the Star Visitor Experience Award, beating other leading attractions from across the borough. The event, which pays tributes to the unsung heroes of the region and was founded in 2012, also provided the opportunity for some of Maidstone’s leading business and attraction leaders to mix in one of the region’s best event’s centres.
In being named winner in the Star Visitor Experience category, Maidstone Museum suitably impressed the judging panel and secured an award that pays tribute to the significance of the attraction. Picking up the award on behalf of Maidstone Museum were Dawn Hudd, Head of Commercial and Economic Development at Maidstone Borough Council, Annabelle Pearsall, Museum Operations Manager, and Benita Lee-Allder, Commerce and Retail Officer.
“We’re delighted for Maidstone Museum to have been recognised with the Star Visitor Experience Award,” said Hudd. “We really consider the museum to be one of the jewels in Maidstone’s crown, and the hard work and dedication of every member of the team deserves the utmost recognition.
“We continue to work towards refining the experience provided by the museum for visitors and residents alike. From investing in essential maintenance works to scheduling an exciting calendar of events and exhibitions, our aim is to aid the development of Maidstone as one of the most significant areas of culture and heritage within Kent. The encouragement and support this accolade from Celebrate Maidstone affords us helps ensure we’re able to continue with our plans for the future, and we look forward to helping visitors to the museum – and the town itself – have a truly unforgettable experience.”
