Explore creating an improvised folding sketchbook, learning mark-making, drawing, layer and collage to open up thought processes.
10am – 4pm with a lunch break in the middle.
You will start your own folding sketchbook or journal and explore ways to develop your ideas reflecting places you travel or journey to, or subjects of interest.
Before you arrive, select images, details of other work or textures of interest, that you would like to work with. This could be any theme – nature, family – but something that makes you tick.
Please bring any materials you would like to use – tissue paper, patterned wrapping paper, magazines, hand-made paper, lightweight coloured fabric scraps, photocopies of images reflecting your subject, needle and some threads.
Other materials such as glues and scissors are provided.
