Here is an explanation of her book in her own words:
“British Gurkha children came in the UK since 1997 with their army dad and brought up here. They spent their first ten years life in the UK and settled here with their parents. I have tried to illustrate their life back in Nepal then how they settled in the UK.
I think it will help our children to understand about their background where they came from and who they were. I have tried to illustrate by using my hand painting instead of using many words.
Many thanks to Maidstone Museum team, without their help, I could not paint and form this book about Nepalese Gurkha children history. The museum gave a chance to Nepalese Gurkha Community to display our traditional and cultural items for 3 months in the museum.”
