Christmas Comes to Maidstone Museum

With Christmas just days away, we’ve been hard at work at the museum putting up decorations and getting ready for the festivities. We were delighted, therefore, to receive support from Maidstone Borough Council’s very own Councillor Gordon Newton and Kingswood Christmas Trees in helping us with generous donations.

Kingswood Christmas Trees kindly donated the beautiful Christmas tree currently displayed in the Maidstone Museum courtyard, and Councillor Newton – Maidstone’s Heritage, Culture and Leisure Committee Chairman – generously donated £200 to the museum. This money went towards enhancing the seasonal appearance of the museum, and was spent on decorations for the courtyard tree, as well as an additional tree and decorations currently on display in the Great Hall.

From everybody at the museum, we’d like to say a big thank you and merry Christmas to Kingswood Christmas Trees and to Councillor Newton. Plus, of course, a very merry Christmas to everyone that has visited Maidstone Museum throughout 2015.

Welcome to Maidstone Museum
