The Maidstone Museum Foundation actively encourages the support of businesses local to Maidstone, stressing the particular benefits of corporates in their association with this exemplary service.

These benefits to your business include:

  • A percentage off room hire at the museums, during daytime working hours. These would be meetings, workshops or seminars in either the Glass Room (capacity 35) or the Bentlif Library (capacity 60). In addition to encouraging room hire, it brings different people into the museums.
  • A percentage off room hire at the museums, outside daytime working hours, such as for breakfast or evening meetings. These could be meetings, workshops or seminars, but also receptions or other type of events. This could be in the Glass Room (capacity 35), Bentlif Library (capacity 60), Brenchley Room (café capacity 100), Bentlif Bearsted Gallery (capacity 35), or Bentliff II Gallery (capacity 80). It is also worth examining the Godiva Corridor and the reception area. Of course, use of these rooms (subject to museum agreement) will incur a special cost to open out of hours (security, staffing, etc.), but there may be opportunities to use the monthly Museum Late evenings, if there is availability.
  • Your business name will be placed on the MMF board in the old reception area of the museum.
  • Logo of your business will be at the foot of every electronic newsletter to all Friends and supporters.
  • Quarterly receptions in the museum for all corporate members, including your business – this would need to be a breakfast event or early in the evening. The ideal space would be the Brenchley Room. There would be a cost to MMF (opening out of hours). It would be a networking event, but also an opportunity for both MMF and the museum to engage, give briefings, etc. In addition, it could be linked to a preview or special view of an exhibition or a view behind the scenes.
  • Possible exposure of your business at the fairs the MMF attends – whether as a board/poster, or by inviting you and your staff to be involved.
  • Opportunities to sponsor MMF events, such as jazz evenings or Christmas carols.
  • Invitations to exclusive previews of exhibitions (for three members of the corporate team).
  • Tax savings for corporates in joining the MMF, with membership to the Friends or any donation free from tax.
